What is the standard opening order?+
The standard commercial trial begins at 200 pieces. Final design mix, specification, packaging, and pricing are confirmed during quotation.
Can the opening order include more than one design?+
Yes. An opening order may contain up to two designs, with a minimum of 75 pieces per design. The final allocation is confirmed in the quotation.
Can I order physical samples?+
Our production process is structured around confirmed made-to-order commercial batches rather than individual sample units. Product specifications, photographs, and close-up imagery are provided across this website for review, and buyers may include any remaining product questions with their enquiry. Pricing is shared directly by email or LinkedIn after reviewing the requirements.
What are the standard journal specifications?+
The nominal finished size is 127 × 178 mm (5 × 7 inches), with handmade variation up to 6 mm. Each journal contains 100 physical sheets / 200 writing pages of blank, warm off-white handmade paper.
What is the paper suitable for?+
The 100–120 GSM handmade paper is acid-free, recyclable, and suitable for fountain pens, markers, and wet ink. Results may vary according to the ink, nib, pressure, and writing technique used.
How is pricing determined?+
Pricing depends on design, size, page count, paper, leatherette cover finish, packaging, quantity and branding requirements. Send us your brief for a quotation.
Which quotation currencies are available?+
Quotations may be issued in USD, GBP, EUR, JPY, CAD, CHF, AUD, AED, SGD, or SAR. Final pricing is prepared against the confirmed requirements and shared directly with the buyer. When a quotation is issued in a currency other than USD, the quoted amount is calculated using the applicable exchange rate at the time of preparation and may vary with currency movements.
How long is a quotation valid?+
Unless the quotation states otherwise, it remains valid for 15 calendar days from its issue date.
What is the cover material?+
The cover is PVC leatherette — made without animal leather. It is selected for its vintage character, practical durability, and suitability for made-to-order finishing. A supplier material declaration can be provided on request.
What does FCA Kolkata Airport mean for the buyer?+
Quotes are offered FCA Kolkata Airport, India (Incoterms® 2020). The exact cargo handover point is stated in the pro forma invoice according to the buyer’s nominated forwarder. Vintage Journal House arranges export clearance; main carriage, cargo insurance, import clearance, duties, and destination charges are for the buyer’s account unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Can you add our company logo?+
Logo placement, embossing feasibility and finish are reviewed against the selected PVC leatherette cover surface before artwork approval.
What quality checks are performed?+
The order process includes incoming material-condition review, page-count verification, binding and stitching checks, sampled visual checks for stains, moisture, mould and odour, final quantity verification, final packaging review, and retention of a reference unit for repeat-order consistency.
What quality evidence is available before dispatch?+
